Internship
2017 saw the beginning of operations for MaraInvestment LLC, a vibrant real estate company with headquarters in Southaven, Mississippi. The firm has established itself as a reliable provider within the local real estate scene, and it is well known for providing high-quality leased premises. The primary emphasis of Mara Investment is to assist customers in locating premises that are ideal for the growth and operation of their businesses.
My work required me to oversee the material on the website, which was one of the most important responsibilities I had. In order to accomplish this, it was necessary to utilize a ContentManagement System (CMS) in order to submit new property listings, update photographs, and change data when properties were leased or became available.Due to the fact that each listing needed to be correct in order to prevent any potential misunderstandings or missed opportunities, my work forced me to pay close attention to detail. For the purpose of attracting the appropriate customers and assisting them in making well-informed selections regarding leasing possibilities, the accuracy and appearance of these listings were of the utmost importance.
I came into this internship with a rather little understanding of web design, with most of my attention being directed toward technical and aesthetic considerations. My time spent at MaraInvestment LLC helped me gain a deeper comprehension of the numerous ways in which web design is intertwined with corporate objectives, customer service, and branding. When it comes to web design within the context of a firm, I discovered that it is necessary to have an awareness of how online platforms affect the opinions of customers and how they generate business outcomes.
A newfound awareness of the part that information technology plays in corporate planning was another thing that I picked up. As a result of my work with Mara, I had the opportunity to witness directly how a website that is well-designed can facilitate client connection and establish trust. My participation in this activity opened my eyes to the fact that web design is not only about coding; rather, it is about developing experiences that are reflective of and improve the brand of a firm. Through the integration of my technological expertise and commercial acumen, I came to realize that I could make a meaningful contribution.
